Here at Old Oak Cottages, we welcome one well behaved dog, to stay in four of our holiday cottages, Fox, Owl, Mouse and Wren. Occasionally we will accept two dogs - please call to discuss & arrange!

We charge £30.00 per dog for the extra cleaning we need to do to ensure that our cottages are spotless for the next guests.

Dogs receive their own welcome pack which includes:

• Complimentary doggy treats.
• Blanket.
• Towel to dry those muddy paws.
• Poop bags- there’s a dedicated waste bin in the waste area.
• Water & Food bowls so you don’t need to pack your own!

We have many walks straight from your cottage door which are great for dogs! We know that they will love exploring what North Yorkshire has to offer.

There are lots of great places to visit that are Dog Friendly close by which include:

• National Trust Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal Estate Trail Walk.
• National Trust Beningbrough Hall Woodland Larch Walk.
• Robin Hoods Bay.
• Aysgarth Falls.
• North Yorkshire Moors Railway- Between Whitby to Pickering.

There are also plenty of local Dog Friendly Pubs and Cafes which a few of are listed below.
